Job Description

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Chef to become the Sous Chef of a new venture in a village setting close to Maidenhead.

The venue has recently opened with an excellent menu based on fresh produce. 

The Sous Chef will work with the Head Chef in running and building an enviable reputation for an excellent dining experience.

Working collaboratively with the Head Chef there is room for creativity in the design and delivery of an excellent menu made of fresh produce along with the need to use your creative flair with the design of “specials” and input into seasonal produce.

Responsibilities will include:

  • The provision of the daily menu to exceedingly high standards including set menus and specials
  • Supporting the day to day management of the kitchen and team
  • Working to H&S and Food hygiene standards
  • Assisting  and covering the Head Chef
  • Staff rota
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Creation of specials
  • The learning and development of the team

Currently providing 40 to 50 covers daily with capacity to double this. 

Hours of work are from 10am in the morning and the restaurant closes 9pm week days, 10am on a Saturday and 8pm on a Sunday.

In return, the Company offers a competitive salary £26,000 per annum plus and a arrange of benefits.
